# AI Quick Tips 227: Have you tried ChatGPT's study mode to learn something new?

One of the challenges for ChatGPT has been that it gives you the answer if you ask it a question.  Usually this is what people want.  In some cases, though, they want to learn a topic and are looking more for guidance than just the answers.

In response to this demand, ChatGPT now has a Study and Learn mode.

This is useful for students of any age who are working through homework, studying for an exam, preparing for a certification, getting a deeper understanding of a topic, etc.  

It is designed to provide step-by-step guidance through a topic, create practice quizzes, and give an interactive learning experience that encourages active participation..

To use it, you will need to be logged in.  It does work on the free account (if you’re logged in but I just covered that…)
