AI Quick Tips 294: You don't have to wait to generate multiple images with ChatGPT anymore

If you aren’t aware, ChatGPT has a new, more capable image generation model.

Watch here or read below (or both, that's the fun!)

Besides having better overall quality, character consistency, and other improvements, the model also now gives you the ability to to generate more than one image at a time.

The way that the old image generation models worked, once you sent a prompt and it started making the image, you couldn’t prompt for anything else until the image was done.  It could easily take minutes.  If you are using the tool to save time, this just ends up getting frustrating over time (at least it does for me).

With the new model, you send a prompt, it starts creating the image, and you are able to prompt it for another image before the first one is done.  Each image also finishes much faster than it did before.

Try it out and see what you think.  If you aren’t able to generate more than one image then you are likely still using the old image model.  You can tell by looking in the sidebar.  If you have an “Images” option, that is the new one.
