By the time you read this, the conference will be long over (since I write these a little in advance). But, maybe you can’t keep up with the daily changes to all the AI things (I know I can’t).
Here are some of the new tools and/or capabilities that Google announced in the first day of their big conference -
- AI Inbox in Gmail - there wasn’t a ton of information about this one. It will be available to Plus and Pro subscribers (might already be available to Ultra) and it will integrate Gemini with your inbox to help you “better manage and stay on top of your inbox”
- Docs Live - they are adding conversational features in Google Docs that will allow you to brainstorm, organize your thoughts, and get things done with just your voice
- Gmail Live - similar to Docs Live, Gmail is getting a conversational interface so you won’t have to type your messages if you don’t want to
- Google Pics - new application (different from Google Photos) that “reimagines how you generate and edit your images with ultimate precision for professional to everyday creative projects”
- Gemini Spark - a 24/7 personal AI agent that can take actions on your behalf and integrate with your Workspace apps
- Gemini 3.5 flash - a new Gemini AI model (based on Gemini 3 Flash) with thinking and multimodal capabilities
- Antigravity 2.0 - a “standalone desktop application tailored for managing AI agents that execute complex knowledge and coding tasks”
- Antigravity CLI - a command-line interface that compliments Antigravity 2.0 as a “terminal-first alternative’
There’s more, so much more, but I think that is plenty for now.
And this was just day 1…
