Now you have the option to integrate information from your NotebookLM notebooks within Google Workspace Studio. This is Google’s Zapier-like platform that allows you to create workflow automations with Gemini and other Google tools.

HOW TO USE NOTEBOOKLM IN GOOGLE WORKSPACE STUDIO

To access the feature, you’ll need to have one of the following plans

A screenshot of a text-based "Availability" list for Workspace Studio. It lists eligible accounts including Business (Starter, Standard, Plus), Enterprise (Standard, Plus), and Education tiers. A footnote states that starting June 1, 2026, users with "AI Expanded Access" licenses will have higher usage limits.

You will also have to make sure that your administrator has enabled access for you.

Once you have access, navigate to studio.workspace.google.com and click on the plus to create a new flowA screenshot of the Workspace Studio homepage titled "Automate your work with Gemini." An orange arrow points to a large blue "+" button in the left sidebar. The interface includes a "Describe a task for Gemini" prompt box and cards for quick actions like "Get a daily summary of unread emails."

Add your starter event (something that will trigger your workflow) -A screenshot of the "Choose a starter" menu in Workspace Studio for an "Untitled flow." A grid of trigger options is shown, including "On a schedule" (selected), "When I get an email," "When someone joins a space," and "When a sheet changes."

Under actions, you will now have the option to add “Ask NotebookLM”A screenshot of the "Add step" menu for an automation flow. Below sections for Gemini and Gmail, an orange arrow points to a "NotebookLM" section with a button labeled "Ask NotebookLM," allowing the flow to interact directly with research notebooks.

You can choose any of your notebooks and add a prompt to get the information that you wantA screenshot of the configuration window for the "Ask NotebookLM" step. It features a dropdown menu to "Select a notebook" and a text area to "Enter a prompt" for the AI to process. A "+ Variables" button is visible for inserting dynamic data into the prompt.

After that, everything else works the same way that it did before. So you’ll have to decide what you want to do with the information from NotebookLM - i.e. send it to email, chat, etc.

If you are already using NotebookLM notebooks, this opens up a lot of automation possibilities.

Now go tinker
