AI Quick Tips 346: Gemini’s Daily Brief

A graphic title card on a dark blue background. On the left is an orange robot head with a speech bubble containing the text 'AI'. To the right is a light blue circle containing the words 'Quick Tips'.

If you’ve been reading these AI Quick Tips for a while then you’ve likely read the one about Google Labs’ project called CC. Well, this project has evolved into a Gemini app feature called Daily Brief.

What is Gemini Daily Brief?

Daily Brief is an AI agent (of course) that looks through your Google Calendar, Gmail, and Gemini chats and gives you a personalized morning digest that’s “designed to be your first stop every day”.

It is designed to prioritize messages based on your upcoming events, urgent messages, and defined goals. You can guide future messages by giving a thumbs up or down.

How do I use Daily Brief?

To start receiving a Daily Brief, you must have Personal Intelligence enabled for Workspace and Memory. You also have to have Workspace connected to Gemini. Then you can access Daily Brief in the side menu.

Note that this is only on paid accounts (for now, at least).

Also, note that I do not see this on my Pro account that is tied to Google Workspace (paid). Not sure if these accounts will get the feature in the future.

You will get one brief per day and you cannot select the time (yet).
