AI Quick Tips 374: Anthropic hopes to answer the “hard questions” for people

One of the biggest AI challenges for people, whether they use the tools daily or they have yet to try them, is that there are so many difficult questions that nobody is taking the time to answer. This leads to confusion and mistrust.

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, is hoping to address this with their initiative on hard questions.

They already have several things in motion, including -

• Studying the use of Claude through anonymized, real-world data
• Creating Anthropic Institute - a research effort that has the goal of confronting society’s biggest AI challenges
• Conducting in-person focus groups
• Surveying people about their hopes and concerns about AI technologies
• Etc.

They are asking people to send them their “hardest questions on AI” including questions about AI effects on jobs, society, and families
