AI Quick Tips 27: Use follow-ups to fine tune output

Written by Damien Griffin | Jul 8, 2024 1:28:00 PM

One of the benefits of ChatGPT and similar tools is speed.  They can create and output things quickly.  Usually much faster than you would if you did it from scratch.

A lot of times the output isn’t what you are looking for.  The good news with that is that you can use follow-up prompts to get new results just as fast.

Your imagination will be the limit to how you can change the output but here are several examples to get you started -

  • Make it more descriptive
  • Make it less descriptive
  • Don’t mention {X}
  • Make it sound more optimistic
  • Simplify it to a 3rd grade level
  • Rewrite it at a PhD level
  • Make it sound happier
  • Rewrite it as an email
  • Make it more casual
  • Make it more professional
  • Rewrite it in less than 100 words
  • Etc.

You can easily iterate through lots of versions until you find something that works for you.
