Question

I'm tired of always seeing the news on my browser's homepage.  How do I change my home page in MS Edge?

Answer

Hi Ginny,

Changing your homepage in Microsoft Edge isn’t the most intuitive process, but I can walk you through it.

    1. Open an MS Edge browser window
    2. Click on “Settings and more”
      1. This is an ellipsis in the upper right corner
      2. You can also use the keyboard shortcut instead of clicking (Alt + F)
      3. This will open a menu
    3. Click on Settings
      1. This will open a new tab
    4. In the left-side menu, click on Start, home, and new tab page
    5. In the right-side menu, under the When Edge starts section, Click on the radio button for Open these pages:
        1. Then click Add a new page, across from Pages
        2. This will open the Add a new page window

    6. Add the URL of the new homepage that you want
      1. Obviously, you want thoughtsbrewing.com as your homepage, so I’ll put that in for you…
    7. (Optional) You can repeat the last steps if you want to open multiple pages when you open Edge
      1. Click on Add new page > Type in the next URL > Click on Add
      2. Repeat for as many tabs as you want to open

Now you can close Edge and reopen to make sure that it works.

Hope that helps
