Answer

Hello,

One of the first things to consider is why you want to create a website.

You may find that it doesn’t make sense in today’s market.

Even if you decide that it does make sense to have a website, this will help you figure out what kind of site to create.  A lot of times, people create websites without thinking about the site’s purpose and then end up being upset when they don’t get the outcome that they hoped for.

Here are some different types of sites to give you an idea of what I mean -

    • Sales - sell products or services directly
    • Customer Support - provide resources to existing customers
    • Networking and Community Building
    • Knowledge Base for internal staff
    • Post jobs and attract talent to your company
    • Showcase for your products, services, or creative projects
    • Hosting multimedia content - audio, video, podcasts, etc.
    • Forums - create a location for users to discuss different topics

There are a lot of other categories but I think that illustrates the point.

The reason for the site will feed the discussion for the type of site which will feed the discussion for the content, etc.

You may benefit from a consult with a web developer.

Your choice. Thanks for the question
