Does Gemini have a voice mode like ChatGPT? I prefer to use Gemini but I also like to be able to have 2-way “conversations” like I can with ChatGPT.

Hello there,
You’re in luck! Maybe.
(Google) Gemini does have a mode that is similar to ChatGPT’s voice mode. It is called Gemini Live.
Right now (Nov ‘25) it is only available on the mobile app. I expect that they will add it everywhere else eventually but I don’t know what the timeline is.
I just tried it out again (to make sure it is still there) and it works well. Here are some of the things that you can do with it:

- Share your camera and ask questions about whatever you see
- Share your screen and ask for help/clarification about anything
- Start with existing files (including photos/images) and have a conversation about them
- Brainstorm ideas
- (Probably anything that you do with ChatGPT’s voice mode)
This is the icon for Gemini Live 
. It is probably on the right side of the prompting area but it depends on the phone and operating system that you are using.
