March 27, 2025 ![Picture of Danielle Price Griffin](https://app.hubspot.com/settings/avatar/31045232924d123af765cd9b1925a9ce) [Danielle Price Griffin](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/author/danielle) ![2025 Local Business Person of the Year](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/hubfs/2025%20Business%20Person%20of%20the%20Year%20Alignable.png) We love a good excuse to celebrate, and today we’ve got a great one—our CEO Damien has been named **Herndon’s 2025 Local Business Person of the Year** through Alignable!  [Alignable](http://www.alignable.com/)hands out this award based on votes and recommendations from fellow business owners. So, in other words, this isn’t just some generic gold star—it’s a nod from the local business community saying, “Yep, this guy is doing something right.” ## What Makes This Award Special? Running a small business isn’t just about keeping the lights on. It’s about **showing up, supporting others, and making connections that actually matter**. And Damien? Well, he’s been doing just that—helping businesses navigate challenges, sharing insights, and generally being the kind of person you want in your corner. This isn’t even the first time his efforts have been recognized—back in November, Damien was also named [**Volunteer of the Month**](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/celebrating-impact-our-ceo-named-catchafires-volunteer-of-the-month) by [Catchafire](https://blog.catchafire.org/the-value-of-skills-based-volunteering-to-fill-staffing-gaps) for his dedication to supporting nonprofits. Whether it’s lending a hand to fellow business owners or using his skills to make an impact in the nonprofit space, he’s all about building stronger communities. Over the past year, he’s:  - Engaged with and supported local business owners on Alignable and beyond. - Shared his expertise and advice (without the fluff). - Championed community-driven growth and collaboration. This recognition is less about individual success and more about how powerful a strong, connected business community can be. ## A Huge Thank You To everyone who voted, recommended, or supported Damien—**THANK YOU.** This award is proof that a thriving business community isn’t just about competition; it’s about lifting each other up. And that’s exactly what makes Herndon’s business scene so special. If you’re not already on [Alignable](https://www.alignable.com/), it’s worth checking out. You never know what kind of opportunities, collaborations, or connections you might find.  Connect with Damien [here](https://www.alignable.com/herndon-va/thoughts-brewing-llc-2). And once again—**huge congrats to Damien!** We’re excited to see what’s next.  ![CTA - Connect with Us](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/hs-fs/hubfs/CTA%20-%20Connect%20with%20Us.png?width=600&height=496&name=CTA%20-%20Connect%20with%20Us.png) #### Want to keep in contact with us?
