Opening PowerPoint, staring at the blank slide, and thinking, “Maybe I’ll just quit my job and become a goat farmer instead?” is not a goal you should be setting for yourself in your business.
That’s why tools like Gamma and Canva exist.
Gamma is the clairvoyant friend who shows up to your party with the drinks and snacks you never thought to ask for, but are so perfect: she gives you beautiful, pre-built presentation templates without you sweating over fonts or spacing.
Canva is the crafty cousin who somehow “just threw together” a stunning visual in 10 minutes while you’re still arguing with ClipArt.
Here’s how to make them work with ChatGPT:
- Ask ChatGPT for “3 headline ideas for a pitch deck that don’t sound like a boring quarterly report.”
- Connect Gamma and feed it those headlines to auto-generate slides by asking it to "Turn these ideas into a 4-slide pitch deck, add in some jokes."
- Or connect Canva and use it to turn those ideas into a presentation or social media carousel.
You don’t need professional design chops (although lamb chops are acceptable forms of payment…just saying). So stop torturing yourself with Arial size 12 and let some of these AI tools handle the pretty stuff.
Pro tip: If your visual is boring, ask ChatGPT, “Suggest 5 quirky image ideas for this presentation topic.”
One of them will make you think, ‘Oh, I’d actually watch this presentation.’
