# Grandma Taught Me the Best Business Lesson

My grandma Helen, who had dementia, was a better business coach than half the LinkedIn gurus I’ve met.

Repetition, even when *soul-numbing*, teaches patience, focus, and results.

- I repeated “*Grandma, you’re safe*” 100 times a day...and meant it.
- In business, repeating the same pitch, post, or process builds trust.
- It’s not the one-hit wonders but the *broken-record players who win.*

---

Mastery doesn’t always come from doing new things. It can be built from doing the old things, the fundamental things better, over and over.
