How AI Tools Can Save Your Drafts (and Your Sanity)

Every project has that awkward, messy middle stage. Not good enough to show anyone, not bad enough to trash.

This is where AI shines.

Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and NotebookLM are great at rescuing drafts stuck in the “what even is this?” phase.

Try this when you hit the wall:

  • With ChatGPT or Gemini
“Here’s my rough draft, it’s like really rough. Highlight what’s confusing and rewrite it to sound more conversational, less corporate, but keep my tone.”

  • With NotebookLM
      • Upload your scattered notes and then ask
“What’s missing from this outline? Can you turn this into 3 main sections with key talking points?”

AI is there in a supportive role, not one in which you hand over everything for it to do. You give it a messy pile and prompt, “Help me untangle this so I can finish.”

Want more visual inspiration?

Pair ChatGPT with Canva’s AI tools:

“Here’s my blog post. Give me 3 image prompts that could pair with this post that I can use in Canva.”

Then drop those ideas into Canva Magic Media to see them come alive.
