If It Doesn’t Scare You, It’s Probably Not Big Enough

Brewed Down

If your idea doesn’t make you slightly nauseous, is it even worth doing?

  • Starting my first business? Terrifying.
  • Posting my first public piece of writing? I sweat through my second shirt.
  • Telling people I was journaling every day? Might as well have announced I was starring in a one-woman off-Broadway play titled “Vulnerable & Weird.”

But here’s the thing: The fear was a compass. It didn’t mean “don’t.” It meant “this matters.”

Now, I use it like a GPS for growth:

  • Slight panic? Post it.
  • Sweaty palms? Launch it.
  • Mild existential dread? You’re probably right on schedule.

Bottom line: If it doesn’t scare you a little, it won’t stretch you.
Cringe is the cover charge for meaningful progress.

Pay up. You’ve got great shit to share.
