The background is decorated with two orange icons: a collection of cubes on the left and a stylized light bulb and atom on the right. This image represents people and their connection to abstract concepts like building, ideas, and science.](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/hubfs/Bold%20Moves.png) We didn’t wake up one day and decide, “Let’s be innovators.” Most days it looked more like: - Scribbling a half-baked idea on a sticky note - Testing it with a brave client who was willing to experiment - Tweaking, reworking, and laughing at what didn’t work - The occasional donkey cuddle That’s what innovation feels like, less lightning bolt, more compost. You pile on experiments, you let them brew, and something useful grows. Being nominated for the [**Innovator Award at the B.O.L.D. Moves Conference**](https://www.yahairamstewart.com/event-details/b-o-l-d-moves-conference-2026) is a reminder that the messy middle matters.  If you’ve ever believed in building something imperfect but worth it, then you already get it. Community votes help decide the winner, and you can cast one each week.   ## [Vote here](https://www.joinboldmoves.com/award?utm_source=chatgpt.com) Thanks for cheering us on while we keep experimenting in public. ### Share: [Share on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fthoughtsbrewing.com%2Fblog%2Finnovation-is-messy-and-thats-the-point%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [Share on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthoughtsbrewing.com%2Fblog%2Finnovation-is-messy-and-thats-the-point%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [Share on X](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthoughtsbrewing.com%2Fblog%2Finnovation-is-messy-and-thats-the-point%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&text=Innovation+Is+Messy+%28And+That%E2%80%99s+the+Point%29) [AI](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/tag/ai), [Awards](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/tag/awards) ## Comments ## Related posts ##### Menu - [Home](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/home) - [About](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/about) - [Blog](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog) - [AI Training/Courses](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/courses) - [Fractional COO/CTO Services](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/fractional-coo/cto-services) - [Contact](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/contact) [Privacy Policy](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/privacy-policy)   |  [Terms of Use](https://thoughtsbrewing.com/en-us/terms-of-use)    |   Herndon, VA   |   703-296-9912   |   ©2022-2026 Copyright Thoughts Brewing, LLC [Follow us on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/thoughts-brewing-llc) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.youtube.com/@thoughtsbrewingllc) [Find us on Google](https://g.co/kgs/YhpnVFp) [Find us on Yelp](https://www.yelp.com/biz/thoughts-brewing-herndon) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/thoughtsbrewingllc) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "BlogPosting", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : "Danielle Price Griffin", "url" : "https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/author/danielle" }, "dateModified" : "2025-09-12T19:15:00.233Z", "datePublished" : "2025-09-12T19:15:00.000Z", "headline" : "Innovation Is Messy (And That’s the Point)", "image" : [ "https://thoughtsbrewing.com/hubfs/Bold%20Moves.png" ], "mainEntityOfPage" : { "@id" : "https://thoughtsbrewing.com/blog/innovation-is-messy-and-thats-the-point", "@type" : "WebPage" }, "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://thoughtsbrewing.com/hubfs/Thoughts%20Brewing%20Logo_Round_Final_Light%20Blue_Transparent%20Background-1.png" }, "name" : "Thoughts Brewing, LLC" } } ``` ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "Organization", "address" : { "@type" : "PostalAddress", "addressCountry" : "United States of America", "addressLocality" : "Herndon", "addressRegion" : "Virginia", "postalCode" : "20170", "streetAddress" : "205 Van Buren Street, Suite 120" }, "email" : "contact@thoughtsbrewing.com", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://24461783.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/24461783/Thoughts%20Brewing%20Logo_Round_Final_Light%20Blue_Transparent%20Background-1.png" }, "name" : "Thoughts Brewing, LLC", "telephone" : "703-296-9912", "url" : "https://thoughtsbrewing.com" } ```
