Mark Twain, Still Savage

Brewed Down

Mark Twain didn’t play around with his priorities. And I appreciate his bluntness.

His advice was brutal but true:

“Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.”

It’s like watching someone chase a cat that never wanted their attention in the first place.

Stop doing that.

  • If someone can’t match your energy, redirect it.
  • Your time is a currency, so don’t let people treat it like spare change.

Be the cat.
