We all have half-baked ideas sitting in tons of notebooks (no, just us??). But which ones are worth your time?
Instead of guessing, let an AI chat (you choose your favorite, but can be Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.) help you validate them before you invest a ton of your time and money into the idea.
Here are three prompts you can try:
- “Explain this idea like I pitched it to someone skeptical. What would their first objection be? Why would they care or not?”
- “Who would actually pay for this? Be specific and give me one real customer type, their actual problem, and why they’d choose this over what they are already doing.”
- “What’s the smallest version of this [insert idea] that would still matter? What can you strip away without killing the core idea?”
This approach ties back to AI Quick Tips #120 with the T.A.G. framework (Task, Action, Goal). It helps you clarify whether an idea has legs before you pour in money, time, or hope.
