AI Overwhelm Is Actually a Good Sign

If you feel overwhelmed by all the AI tools out there, congratulations…you’re paying attention. It’s like walking into a 1990s Blockbuster. So many choices, so little time before someone charges you late fees for Twister and Jurassic Park.

Most of us don’t even know where to start. The trick is to filter your options.

Start by asking:

  1. What’s repetitive? Emails, reports, notes.
    1. AI loves the boring stuff.
    2. This is where you get time back.

  2. What’s creative? Brainstorming names, writing outlines.
    1. Let AI throw spaghetti at the wall.
    2. You get to keep the good ideas and ignore the weird ones.

  3. What’s confusing? Research dumps, meeting notes.
    1. AI will gladly play “librarian meets CliffsNotes.”
    2. It turns your data-overload chaos into something you will actually use.

Feeling lost with all of the constantly changing AI news can feel like standing in front of The Bellagio all-you-can-eat buffet with its 2000 AMAZING options and a tray that only holds three tiny plates. But you don’t need to fill up on the 113 new tools that came out yesterday.

Start with Gemini or NotebookLM. Learn what it does well and ignore everything else (for now).

Once you see how they save you time, you’ll know which other tools deserve a spot in your digital stomach.
