AI Quick Tips 111: Prompt Framework - R.I.S.E.

Prompt frameworks offer a structured way to input information into an AI tool like ChatGPT, CoPilot, Gemini, Claude, etc.

RISE  is an effective general-purpose framework.  It stands for Role, Input, Steps, Expectation

Here is a breakdown of RISE - 

• Role - What persona will the AI tool adopt for this prompt?

• Input - What is the relevant context that the AI tool will need to give you useful output?

• Steps - What are the step-by-step instructions to achieve your goal?

• Expectation - What output do you want from the AI tool? (i.e. format, content, examples, etc.)

Here is an example prompt that uses RISE to name a new business -

You are a business and marketing expert with theoretical knowledge and practical experience

I would like your help with brainstorming business name ideas for a new company.  This company will specialize in goat yoga and basket weaving

Brainstorm ideas related to goat yoga and then basket weaving separately.  Then combine them in a creative way

Please output a list with 10 names for us to choose from
