If you’ve never used ChatGPT before you might not know what to do when you get to the site. You might not know how to get to the site.
Here is a visual breakdown of the ChatGPT interface (free version without login) -
- Go to https://chatgpt.com
- Here is what the site looks like
- Most of your time will be spent where it says “Message ChatGPT” in the middle of the screen on the bottom. This is where you type in your question or instructions
- Right above that, there are 4 suggestions for how you could use ChatGPT
- Click on one to ask a prewritten question. This can be useful if you want to see what output looks like but don’t know what to ask

- There probably isn’t anything else that you’ll want to do. They made the interface pretty minimal
- You can click on the buttons in the top right to login or create an account
- If you click on the question mark in the bottom right, you can go through some options
