Question

I just started using Windows 11 and my taskbar icons aren’t where they should be.  How do I get it to look like other versions of Windows?

Answer

Hi,

I actually had that same moment when I started using Windows 11.  Luckily, it is pretty straightforward to resolve.

Here are the steps:

  1. Right-click on the taskbar and select taskbar settings
    1. This will take you to the settings menu and the personalization > taskbar section
  2. On the right side of the menu, click to expand “Taskbar behaviors”
  3. Change the “Taskbar alignment” from Center to Left
    1. The change should happen as soon as you select Left

That’s it.

Here are screenshots just in case -

All better (hopefully).

Thanks for the question

Damien
