Why Printing and Displaying Your Family Photos Is So Important

Photography by Thoughts Brewing

In this era of everything being accessible on a digital screen, the importance of printing your family portraits has become a lost art.  Discover why printing the photos from your professional photography session is so important.

So Many Images Are Created But Never Enjoyed

Photos document your life and family milestones.  They are a way to preserve these precious moments for years to come.

Since essentially everyone has a digital camera at all times now, thanks to smartphones, people take more photos now than ever before.  Yet, they are missing out on one crucial aspect of photography - printing and displaying the images at home.

Most photos are saved on our phones or in the cloud and quickly forgotten since they become lost in the sea of selfies and food pics.  Sometimes, the photos can even be lost if the photos are backed up, or the phone is lost or stolen.

So how do we fix this?

Prints are Tangible Items to Cherish

Flipping through photo albums is a great way to time travel - it can take you back to a moment in time and allow you to experience that moment all over again.  The people, the memories, the smells, the textures.

Photographs are such an important part of our lives.  They are how we connect the past to the present and share our generational stories with our loved ones.

Printing your photos is the best way to keep your memories alive and safe.  High-quality, professional printed photos allow you to pass on your memories across generations.

Tell Your Loved Ones You Love Them

We often take our day-to-day life for granted.  We don’t tell our loved ones we love them enough.  We aren’t grateful for the little things.  We think we have more time to visit and hug our loved ones.  We don’t think the last picture taken of us may be our last picture ever.

These are all the reasons why we strongly encourage our clients to get individual photos of each person during the family portrait session.  The biggest objections typically come from grandma, saying, “No one wants a silly old picture of me.”  Your family wants those photos of you, trust us.

Tell your loved ones you love them.  Get professional photos taken at least once a year.  Print them out and display them proudly in your home and office.

Every Family Deserves a Proper Print Portrait

Here is where Danielle’s experience as an ER/Trauma Registered Nurse melds with our photography business model.  Life is short; no tomorrow is guaranteed.  Every family deserves to have a professionally captured portrait of them and their family - or of just them for their family.

Photos sitting on a cell phone, never to be seen again or even just shared on social media, don’t count.  Printing and displaying your family portraits tells your family you love and care for them.

A big part of why we do what we do is to help our clients capture and create these moments to hold dear and pass along to their families.
