AI Quick Tips

Here is another prompt framework to save you time.

You can use this with AI chatbot tools like Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.

This framework is called ROSES.  It stands for Role, Objective, Scenario, Expected Solution, Steps.

Here is the breakdown -

  • Role - this is the persona that you want the AI chatbot to assume for this conversation
  • Objective - this is the goal that you want to accomplish (usually high-level)
  • Scenario - this is the relevant context or background that will be needed to provide the output that you want
  • Expected Solution - this is the specific output that you want (low-level).  It can include the output format, constraints, acceptable alternatives, etc.
  • Steps - these are the step-by-step instructions to deliver your expected solution.  This isn’t always necessary but can be helpful for more complex prompts
