BizTech Q&A 22: Signing a Google Doc

BizTech Q&A

Answering your questions about business and technology

Question

Is it possible to sign a document in google docs?

~ DM

Answer

Hi DM,
Yes, you can sign a Google Doc with a feature called eSignature if you have the right type of account.

Here are the types of accounts that can do it -

  • Google Workspace Individual account
  • Any of the following Google Workspace plans if your administrator grants you access to the feature
    • Business Standard and Plus
    • Enterprise Starter, Standard, and Plus
    • Enterprise Essentials and Enterprise Essentials Plus
    • Education Plus

The process has a lot of options but, luckily, Google has good documentation on it all.

I will point you to their documentation so that you can read the pieces that you care about - https://support.google.com/docs/answer/12315692?hl=en#zippy=

Hope that helps

Damien
