AI Quick Tips 253: Build something! Project ideas

AI Quick Tips

Reading posts and watching videos and attending workshops are all nice, but at some point, you have to build things.  This doesn’t have to mean code from scratch (it can mean that too,  though), it can mean build a custom GPT, or even build a complex prompt that can accomplish something.

Whatever it is, theory without practice won’t help you build skills.

With that, here are some project ideas.  You get to decide what tools you want to use (i.e., Claude, Gemini, etc.) and how you want to complete the projects.

Project #1 - Health Tips Bot

Create a bot that answers questions when asked and gives daily health tips.

Possible features:

  • Personalized recommendations
  • Exercise recommendations
  • Health tips database

Project #2 - Language Learning Tutor

Build a tutor-bot that helps users practice a new language with words of the day, exercises, and flash cards

Possible features:

  • Progress tracking
  • Multiple language support
  • Interactive quizzes

Project #3 - Vocabulary Builder

Build a chatbot that helps users learn new words each day and expand their vocabulary

Possible features:

  • Word pronunciation
  • Word definitions
  • Example sentences
  • Progress tracking

Take these as-is or change them up in a way that makes sense for you.  The bigger point is to stop reading about stuff and start doing stuff.
