AI Quick Tips 74: Add an assistant to your virtual meetings

AI Quick Tips

These days, virtual meetings are as common (or more common) than in-person meetings.  Remote teams, global teams, no office space, etc., all contribute to groups needing a way to share information in real-time.

You can use a tool like Otter.ai with your meetings.  This will add an AI attendee to each meeting that will become your meeting assistant.

It can do things like -

  • Takes notes
  • Create summaries
  • Transcribe the entire meeting
  • Collect action items
  • Draft emails
  • Connect to CRMs
  • Etc.

There are a lot of ways that it can integrate into your workflow, or you could create a new workflow centered around it.

Most of these can also be automated so you only have to configure it once and it will automatically join the meetings to carry out the assigned tasks.

There are several other AI tools that do similar tasks so shop around for the features that matter to your team.

Zoom, Teams, Meet, and other platforms also have some of this functionality built-in.  Even if they don’t do everything that you need, you can have the meeting transcribed with built-in tools and then take that text to an AI chatbot like ChatGPT.
