With modern AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc., you have another layer to help you with your strategic planning and risk assessments.
Before you meet with your board or team, you can bounce your idea off of a chatbot to see what blindspots you might have missed. Then you can make adjustments beforehand and save everyone some time and energy.
Here is a template -

Here are the details of the strategy that I’ve come up with and plan to implement - {copy and paste strategy information here}
Do a risk assessment on this strategy based on what could go wrong during or after execution.
Provide likelihood and impact information for each risk
Include obvious things that I have missed and outside the box possibilities
Consider resources, timing, dependencies, costs, etc.
Ask me clarifying questions to gather missing information instead of making assumptions
You could also ask for a risk matrix if that is something that would be useful in your meeting(s).
