“How many experiments does Google Labs have going?” All of them. All of them. I don’t know what the real answer is, but it’s likely more than they have published (which is a lot).
This one is “a new AI productivity agent that connects your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive to deliver a personalized briefing every morning”.
For now (Feb 2026), it is a waitlist-only thing. If you are selected, then you will receive an email from CC (see what they did there) when you’ve been taken off the waitlist. You also have to have Google Workspace Smart Settings enabled.
I haven’t gotten access to it yet so I can only pull information from their webpage.
Here are some of the other features of the tool -
- You can teach CC about yourself and customize your briefings
- CC will initially only work in the web app (not mobile)
- CC is not technically part of Gemini Apps or Google Workspace. It is a separate service for now
- You are not auto-enrolled in CC just because you have a Gmail account
