I know, I know, another AI platform. It still might be appealing though.
If you aren’t familiar with the name, this is DuckDuckGo’s online AI site. They are a security-focused search engine and browser that rose in popularity a while ago when Google was having some security and privacy allegations against them.
Duck.ai has a free mode that lets you go to the site and prompt immediately. No login. No hoops to jump through . This prompt interface will be waiting for you -
One of the nice things about the site is that they have a wide range of smaller models. That may not seem great but the reality is that most people don’t need the biggest, baddest, bestest models all the time (or ever) and the smaller models are faster and less expensive. Most people haven’t ever tried them though. Duck.ai gives you the opportunity with little hassle.

Some of the models are greyed out because you have to be on a paid plan to access them. The paid models are some of the well known, larger models though. So if you are just looking to test a smaller model, you won’t have to worry about that.
If you’ve used a chatbot before (i.e., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.), this interface will be familiar enough. If you haven’t, we have plenty of content to walk you through what to do. (start with clicking in the prompting area and asking a question).
This is nothing revolutionary but it is quick, accessible and a way to try models that you might not have known about.
