BizTech Q&A 59: Extra options to automate reminders and notes

BizTech Q&A

Answering your questions about business and technology

Question

What are some additional ways to automate reminders and/or notes in case you exceed the 10 task limits within ChatGPT?

~ Damien

Answer

Yes, this is my question.  Well, not really.  I thought about the question from last week and how limiting 10 tasks can be (I normally get more than 10 new tasks at a time) so I wanted to give a few more options for anyone that is interested.  I just didn’t want to break the question/answer format...

If you use Microsoft OneNote (it’s free and it does everything) for your tasks/notes/reminders, here is a process to speak into your phone and capture it in OneNote:

    • Open OneNote app on phone
    • Select notebook > tab > page
    • Click on page (to activate the menu)
    • Click on Insert menu
    • Select Audio
      • Enable/Confirm audio is allowed in OneNote on phone

If you use Microsoft To Do for your tasks, try this:

    • Open To Do app on phone
    • Click on Tasks
    • Click on Add a Task
    • Click the microphone icon on the keyboard
      • Enable/Confirm audio is allowed in To Do on phone

If you want to use automation/AI, here is a quick process to use with a workflow builder (i.e., n8n, Zapier, OpenAI AgentKit):

    • Create trigger
      • I.e. Receive Voice Memo webhook
    • Configure API connection to ending application (i.e. OneNote, To Do, etc.)
    • Create note for ending application
      • Define location where the voice memo will go (tasks, notebook, etc.

Plenty of options.  Almost too many.  Now, how do you decide?  That’s a question for another day.
