Never assume your audience knows what to do next—tell them!
A clear call to action (CTA) guides your audience to take the next step. They can be:
Keep CTAs simple and specific.
For instance, “Download your free guide” is more effective than “Learn more.”
Place them strategically—in your post, bio, or captions—so they’re easy to spot. Links aren’t clickable in Instagram posts, so be sure your audience can easily engage with your CTA - tools like Linktree are helpful here.
CTAs don’t always have to be sales-driven. You can encourage engagement with phrases like “Share your thoughts below” or “Tag a friend who needs this.”
The goal is to make the next step effortless (Greg McKeown would approve of this).
Pro Tip: If you tell them to click a link, make sure there is a clickable link for them to click…..don’t make them have to search to follow your CTA.
