# Marketing Quick Tips 7: Build Relationships with Your Existing Audience

When it comes to marketing, your existing audience is your biggest asset. Instead of focusing on reaching new people right away, invest time in building stronger connections with the followers, customers, or email subscribers you already have.

Start by engaging with your audience directly. 

1. Respond to comments, answer questions, and like or share posts where your business is mentioned.
2. Personal touches, like a thank-you message to new followers or a quick response to a customer’s query, go a long way in creating loyalty.
3. Use polls, Q&A features, or surveys to involve your audience in your content.  
     1. For example, ask them what topics they’d like to see covered or let them vote on product features. This not only boosts engagement but shows you value their input.

Happy, engaged followers are more likely to become loyal customers—and they might even spread the word about your business without you having to ask.
