AI Quick Tips 292: Learn faster with this free prompt

AI Quick Tips

One of the positives of all these AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude is that you can learn any topic that you want.

Since the tools have access to a massive amount of training data and whatever they can find on the internet, you can leverage them to help you avoid common mistakes and save that much more time.

Here is a prompt that you can use to get started -

You are an expert on [topic] with deep theoretical knowledge and 20 years of practical experience.  You also have an amazing ability to communicate and teach what you know.

Your task is to work with me to learn about [topic] and focus on the important areas.

Use your knowledge and resources to identify the things that people usually waste their time on when learning about [topic].

Output the 5 biggest traps that beginners fall into, why they happen and what I should focus on instead.

If anything isn’t clear, ask clarifying questions before you start and use the answers as the missing context

Just replace {topic} with whatever you want to learn.  Instead of replacing it, you could also add a “[topic] = “ at the end (just make sure you put the actual topic after the equals sign or ChatGPT will get “confused”).

The robot is writing in an open book while the man rests his chin on his hand in a thoughtful pose. Multiple glowing light bulbs hover over them, representing ideas. The desk is covered with notes, a flowchart with a gear icon, and a rabbit sitting next to a mug.
