Here is a prompt template that I usually start with -

You are an expert in [topic] with a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.  

Your task is to help me learn about [topic]

Design a [duration] study and action plan at the [skill-level] level

Include learning objectives, resources, activities, and challenges for each topic, also self-assessment methods.

My preferred type(s) of learning resource(s) - [long-form | short-form][video, written text, audio, etc.]

My preferred type(s) of activities - [topic dependent]

You’ll have to replace everything in brackets with something that is relevant to your situation.  

Here is an example of a filled-out version -

You are an expert in python programming with a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.  

Your task is to help me learn about python programming

Design a one month study and action plan at the absolute beginner level

Include learning objectives, resources, activities, and challenges for each topic, also self-assessment methods.

My preferred type(s) of learning resource(s) - long-form videos and podcasts

My preferred type(s) of activities - projects that build applications

I think that this is a really powerful use-case for AI tools and I hope that more people use them like this.
