Cringe Is Just Growth in Embarrassing Clothing

Brewed Down

I used to think “cringe” was a sign to stop. Now? It’s basically my personal growth alarm.

I cringed when I told people I was journaling daily.
Cringed harder when I posted my writing.
Nearly blacked out from secondhand embarrassment the first time I hit “send” on my first blog post .

But guess what? I didn’t explode (at least I don't think I did). No one formed a roast committee.

And the more I did the cringey thing, the less cringey it became.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t get confidence before the action, you earn it after the cringe.

So go ahead. Post it. Pitch it. Publish it.

You’ll survive (I did). And then you’ll grow.

And maybe even laugh about it later. (Cringe is kind of funny in hindsight, right?)
